Abstract: X-ray film is very important for the detection of Z-pinch radiography.According to the character of Z-pinch radiation, the present paper prepared a large latitude soft X-ray film(LLSXF) to obtain more valuable information.Silver halide emulsions covered on the film contained 3 kinds of AgBr/Cl/I grains, which included large grains with high sensitivity, small grains with common sensitivity and smaller grains with low-sensitivity,and the distribution and morphology of the grains were controlled. The latitude of LLSXF film was measured by synchrotron radiation soft X-rays in Beijing and the factors influenced the latitude were analyzed.
