Abstract: The influences of 4-hydroxy-6-methyl-1,3,3a,7tetraazaindene sodium (NaTAI)on the photographic performaces of photothermographic (PTG) material based on silver Benzotriazole (AgBTA) were studied. It is found that NaTAI can remarkably increase the photographic speed of the PTG materials without much fog elevation.According to the measurements of the decay of Dember photovoltage, together with pH,pAg,and UV-Vis spectra, the sensitization of NaTAI is attributed to the reduce of interstitial silver ions in the silver halide grain, which results in elevation of latent image formation efficiency.
