Abstract:

The effect of different kinds of photosensitizers on the photographic performances of photothermographic materials based on silver benzotriazole was studied. It is found that both PTG materials with AgBrI and AgI as photosensitizers have a higher sensitivity than the PTG material with AgBr photosensitizer in the in-situ systems, the sensitivity is 16 times and 2.4 times as high as the control one. In the ex-situ PTG materials, the sensitivity of the PTG materials with AgBrI emulsion as photosensitizer is 3 times as high as the PTG materials with AgBr emulsion as photosensitizer. Besides, between of the in-situ PTG materials and ex-situ PTG materials with the same AgBr emulsion as photosensitizer, the latter has a higher sensitivity than the former. And the relevant factors were primarily investigated.
