Abstract: The influence of nickel stearate on the photographic properties of photothermographic (PTG) materials based on AgBr emulsions obtained from an ex-situ preparation was reported. The results showed that the maximal sensitivity of PTG materials could be obtained when the ratio of AgBr to AgTTA was 0.25, and the sensitivity of PTG materials with nickel stearate was 1.1 times higher than the origin one. The possible reason of the influence of nickel stearate on the photographic properties was studied primarily by UV-Vis of AgBr grains and DSC of nickel stearate.

Key words: silver bromide, nickel stearate, silver tolyltriazole, photothermographic material
