Abstract: 2,4-Bis(trichloromethyl)-6-(4-methoxy-1-styryl)-s-triazine(BMT) is a highly efficient UV initiator, which was synthesized based on 4-methoxybenzaldehyde and 2,4-bis(trichloromethyl)-6-methyl-1,3,5-triazine.BMTwas characterized by Infrared Spectroscopy,Ultraviolet spectrum and 1HNMR Spectroscopy.Real time infrared spectroscopy(RTIR) was used to study the effect of different initiator concentrations, different monomer system and light intensity on the polymerization kinetics. The results indicated that the double bond conversion of diacrylate monomer is higher than that of triacrylate monomer.0.1% is the most suitable concentration. With the increase of light intensity, the double bond conversion increased.
