Abstract: Tetrabutylammonium salt of SiW10Fe2(Fe2POM) was synthesized and methyl orange (MO) was taken as photodecolorization test compound. Rate of photodecolorization was probed over original concentration of MO, dose of catalyst, diversity of pH. Isopropyl alcohol was taken as ·OH scavenger and mechanism of MO photodecolorization under Fe2POM-H2O2 system was studied. The results indicated that high photodecolorization efficiency was achieved at wide pH range. The photodecolorization of MO at the concentration ranged at 40-160 mg/L was in accordance with apparent first order reaction and the photodecolorization rate decreased with increase of the initial MO concentration. The activity of photodecolorization is in the turn of Fe2POM-H2O2Fe2POM>blank experiment.
