Abstract: Trace gold in AgNO3 was separated from main element Ag with 2 mol/L HC1 as a precipitant. After filtering, Au3+ in the solution was extracted with 6ml 55% TBP-CHCl3 and was determined by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry. The method is convenient and sensitive. The recovery and relative standard deviation are 95-105% and < 15%, respectively.
