Abstract: A monodispersed tabular grain emulsion was prepared successfully by pAg-controlled double-jet methds,The functions of pBr,addition time of aqueous solutions of silver nitrate and halide, ripening time, concentration of gelatin, content of iodide and so on were investigated in this work. The results were observed that number of the hexagonal tabulargrains was 92% of the number of the whole silver halide grains and the diameter of circle corresponding to the average projected area of the tabular grains was 1.2μm and the aspectratio was 14.The results indicate that the nucleus formation and ripening stages have important function for preparing monodispersion tabular grains.
