Abstract: The problem of photophysics, spectrum and photo-isomerization of bis(benzoxadyl) stilbene in different solvents were studied carefully. On the base of fluorescence quantum yield and lifetime measurement, the rate constants of radiation decay and non-radiation decay of this compound were calculated. It was found that in polar solvent the high fluorescence quantum yield was observed and the high rate of photo-isomerization was occured in the non polar solvents. The activation energy of photo-isomerization from trans-to cis-isomer of this compound was also measured in this work. Results obtained were discussed preliminary.
