Abstract: Critical micelle concentration(CMC),micelle aggregation numbers(N) at different surfactant concentrations(c) and micellar micropolarity of three sodium alkyl-benzyl homogeneous polyoxyethlenated propane sulfonates(ABEPS) were determined by steady-state fluorescence probe method in which pyrene was used as fluorescence probe and benzophenone was used as quencher. The influence of the change of alkyl chain of ABEPS on the aggregation properties was studied. The varieties of N with the c of ABEPS were also discussed, and the critical micelle aggregation numbers of ABEPS were obtained from the experimental equation of N versus c.
