Characteristic of a New Inhibitational/Accelerational Phenolic Resin Used to the Thermosensitive CTP Performance

Abstract: A new phenolic etherified resin was used as inhibitational /accelerational compound,which is synthesized by a phenolic resin and vinylether.It was applied to the composition of thermal sensitive coating of CTP,composed with photo-acid-generators,background dyes,binder resins,auxiliaries and solvents.The compositional chemistry and the imaging performance were studied.It was found that it could improve the thermal-sensitivity,developing,alkali resistance and anti-isopropanol ability of the thermal sensitive imaging layer of CTP plates,when it was properly used into the thermosensitive composition.
