Synthesis and Antimicrobial Property of Low Ag-doped Titanium Dioxide Nanosheet Films

Abstract: Novel Ag-doped TiO2 perpendicular nanosheet films were synthesized by sol-gel method and mild solvothermal method.The as-prepared samples were studied by SEM,TEM,XRD and XPS,respectively.The dependence of the nanosheets grown with the quantity of Ti(OBu)4 precursor,and their antimicrobial properties were also studied.Experimental results showed that the low Ag-TiO2 nanosheet films displayed excellent performance in killing E.coli and S. aureus under UV light.Moreover,the potent antimicrobial ability of the film was well sustained even in the dark environment.
