Abstract: The interaction between zinc phthalocyanines with different sulfonation degree and three types of micelles were investigated by absorption and fluorescence spectra. The binding constants were also calculated. The disaggregation behaviour indicated that ZnPC with low sulfonation degree may interact with all three types of micelle. However,ZnPC with high sulfonation degree does not interact with non-ion micelle formed by Triton-X-100,can bind to surface of cation micelle formed by CTAB.The results are explained according to the change of molecular volume, charge and hydrophobic properties of suironated ZnPCs.
