    An electron-withdrawing group,2-cyano-2-carboxyl-vinyl,was attached onto the 5 position of 2,2′:5′,2″-terthiophene and the photophysical and the photoelectrochemical properties of the resultant compound,3T-CCV,was studied.Density functional theory (DFT) calculation confirms the efficient intramolecular charge separation of 3T-CCV upon excitation.Under irradiation of simulated sun light (AM1.5,70 mW·cm-2),3T-CCV based dye-sensitized solar cell presented an overall photoelectric conversion efficiency of 3.25%.

    Solution processed multi-layer small molecular electrophosphorescent light-emitting diodes have been fabricated with 4,4′-Bis (carbazol-9-yl)-9,9-dimethyl-fluorene (CDBP) as the host and pinene group substituted Ir (pppy)3 [tris (5-phenyl-10,10-dimethyl-4-aza-tricycloundeca -2,4,6-triene) Iridium (III)] as the guest,by combining the sping-coating method and vacuum deposition method in device fabrication.By optimizing device structure,high-efficiency multi-layer green electrophosphorescent diodes have been fabricated.The Ir (pppy)3 (2 weight percent) doped multi-layer device shows the peak luminance efficiency of 22.0 cd/A,and the maximum luminance intensity of 26600 cd/m2,which are comparable with the state of the art electrophosphorescent devices.Our work is essentially important for reducing the cost of organic light-emitting displays,and expanding the material selection range of solution-processed OLEDs preparation.

    A new family of Tris-(pinene-2-phenylpyridine) Iridium (III) complexes attached alkoxy groups were doped in PVK and polymer devices ITO/PEDOT:PSS (40 nm)/PVK0.7:PBD0.3: (x%.) Ir-complex (80 nm)/CsF (1.5 nm)/Mg:Ag (200 nm) were fabricated by spin-coating.The results indicated that the devices of the Ir-complex attached hexadecoxy groups exhibit better performance.The maximum luminance efficiency 19.9 cd/A (7.8 lm/W) at 9.1V was obtained with doping concentration of 3.2%,CIE coordinates (0.20,0.56),and the maximum luminance of the devices was 15700 cd/m2 at 8.4 V.Orbit alignment and energy transfer mechanism between the host material and dopant were studied by their photophysics and electrochemistry properties.

    A novel water-soluble polymer containing poly acrylic acid and 2-phenmethylamino-7-methyl-1,8-naphthyridine was prepared and its structure was determined by spectroscopic analysis and density functional theory (DFT) calculation.The electronic absorption spectra of the polymer in acid or alkaline water solution show absorption maxima with peaks at 364 and 342 nm,respectively.The addition of Zn (OAc)2 to the H2O solution of PAA5-PAMN2 results in the quenching of the fluorescence emission centered at 410 nm.However,with Zn (OAc)2 changed to Zn (NO3)2 the emission maximum of PAA5-PAMN2 in water solution was blue-shifted to 400 nm but with a concomitant decrease of emission intensity,which is tentatively suggested to originate from Zn2+ coordinated to PAA5-PAMN2 and NO3-.The effect of Na++ ion on emission was not observed.

    The kinetics of photopolymerization of 4-acryloylbenzophenone (4-ABP) was studied by Real-time Infrared spectroscopy,which showed that 4-ABP was a very effective photoinitiator.When the photoinitiator and amine were used to initiate polymerization of acrylates,both rate of polymerization and final conversion increased and the induction period shortened with increase of amine concentration,4-ABP concentration and light intensity.For it is crosslinked in the cured film,the amount of extracted 4-ABP is much lower than that of BP.

    We studied the effects of the amount of phthalic acid (H2PA),its positive ion and negative ion on photothermographic system based on silver benzotriazole as silver source.The results indicated that the positive ion (H+) of H2PA decreased the value of pH in the system,imaging activity of developer and the capability of H2PA combined with silver ions;the negative ion (PA2-) of H2PA created the intermediate with silver benzotriazole and carried silver ions during the thermo-imaging process.

    Modified phenolic resin was prepared through a two-step one pot method.First,Epoxy phenolic resin,F-44,was reacted with dimethylamine to give tertamine phenolic resin.Then,tertamine phenolic resin was oxidized with hydrogen peroxide to afford the final product,oxidized tertamine phenolic resin,which had strongly polar oxidized tertamine groups.This new resin was easily dissolved in water and some polar organic solvents such as tetrahydrofuran,2-methoxyethanol and N,N-dimethylformamide,etc.The resin became aqueous insoluble when treated at high temperature such as 160℃,but still remained soluble in organic solvents.When an IR dye with maximal absorption at 830 nm was incorporated into the film,it became sensitive to IR laser emitting at 830 nm and gave negative image after exposed by IR laser and developed by neutral water.This showed that the new resin could find uses in chemical-free thermal laser imaging applications.

    Nano-crystalline TiO2 film was prepared by combining the sol-gel and hydrothermal process.The crystal type of the TiO2 film was identified as anatase.In the ethylene carbonate (EC)/ propylene carbonate (PC) electrolyte system,the effect of the content of I2 and KI was studied.The results showed that the photocurrent increased at first and decreased subsequently with the increasing of I2 content in the electrolyte,but the changes were not evident.At the same time,the dark current was elevated,and as a result,the open-circuit photovoltage (VOC) was reduced.When the electrolyte system contained few KI,the short-circuit photocurrent could be enhanced by the addition of more KI in the electrolyte.When the content of KI was higher than 0.2 mol/L,this change slowed down.The mechanism of these effects had also been explored.

    Two new ligands,N-(6-aminopyridine-2-yl)-9-anthracenecarbonamide (L1) and N,N’-(pyridine-2,6-yl)-bis (9-anthracenecarbonamide) (L2),and the novel copper (I) complex of L1,[CuL1 (PPh3)2] (BF4) (1),have been synthesized and characterized.The crystal structures of L2 and 1 were determined by single crystal Xray analysis,which show that the carbonyl (C=O) group in 1 is coordinated to the copper (I) ion through the oxygen atom.In addition,the spectroscopic properties of L1 and 1 were studied at room temperature.

    The latest research progress in the preparation of visible light responsible nano-TiO2 films is reviewed.The principle of photocatalytic degradation of organic contaminants was introduced.The method of enhanced nano-TiO2 absorption wavelength,common carrier,the preparation of visible light responsible nano-TiO2 films,and the application in decomposition of organic contaminants were discussed in detail.The trend in future was summarized.
