NEW PHOTOSENSITIZERS FOR EFFICIENT PRODUCTION OF SINGLET OXYGEN──PORPHYRIN-LIKE MACROCYCLE METAL COMPLEXES

Abstract

Abstract: The synthesis of propyl substituted asymmetrie tripyrrole-Containing macrocycles and their metal complexes are reported.These complexes show strong optical absorptions in the 740～780 nm spectral region and effectively sensitize the production of singlet oxygen as proved by their sensitized photo oxygenation of △³-carene forming good yield of “ene” type products, about 68% and their φ¹O₂ and φ₁ are also determined.
