Abstract: A series of bichromophore compounds containing triazole group as an electron acceptor were designed and synthesized. The results of photospectroscopic study reveal that the emission properties of these compounds are depended on not only the electron transfer driving force, but also the linking group and the size of the electron donor group. The fluorescence emission of some of the molecules dramaticly change in the region of pH 1~3. The plot of the fluorescence quantum yield vs. pH displays a bistable system, which implies that these molecules possess photo switching property.
