Abstract: The copolymers of N-isopropylacrylamide and acrylamide with different ratios were synthesized. The transition process of coil configuration of the co-polymeric molecule to globule in solution and the diffusion process of fluorescence probe molecule into globule were investigated. The kinetic process and the activation energy of diffusion were measured and discussed. Results indicate that the larger of the ratio of AM composed in copolymer, the looser of the structure of globule obtained. In addition,it is worthy to note that if the mixing method is used for the introduction of fluorescence probe for the measurement of the lower critical solution temperature (LCST),the diffusion process must be considered carefully.
