STUDY ON THE FLUORESCENCE ENHANCEMENT OF TERBIUM LUTETIUM (GADOLINIUM, YTTRIUM) ACETYLSALICYLIC ACID SYSTEM IN THE PRESENCE OF SURFACTANT

Abstract: A study of the enhancement effect on the fluorescence intensity of terbium acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) system by lutetium,gadolinium or yttrium was carried out.In the presence of these elements the fluorescence of the Tb-ASA system was enhanced by factors of 108,58 and 73. The standard addition method was used for the determinations of terbium in synthetic sample and standard sample and the results were satisfactory. The recovery of terbium was in the range 90.5~105.6%.The fluorescence enhancement mechanism and the effect of surfactant were discussed.
