CONFIGURATION OF THE LOWEST TRIPLET OF KETOCOUMARINS

Abstract: In this work,the configuration of the lowest triplet of ketocoumarins was investigated. The results indicate that the lowest triplet of 3-benzoylcoumarin,p-dicoumaroyl-benzene and 3,3'-carbonylbiscoumarin have the character with n,π* transition and the lowest triplet of 3-furoylcoumarin and 3-thenoylcoumarin have a mixing n,π* and π,π* character.
