Abstract: Smooth thin film of soluble metal alkoxy phthalocyanine(MPc) was prepared by spincoating. After being treated with organic solvents or being heated,it can be found that the absorption peaks shift toward the long wavelength region. This phenomenon can be explained that there is a change of molecular stacking. The crystallinity of the film increased from a microcrystalline to crystalline structure. This interpretation was confirmed by using X-ray diffraction and high-resolution electron microscopy experiments.
