Abstract: irect observation of the sulfur sensitization centers with electron microscopy was made on silver halide tabular grains. It was found that the sulfur sensitization centers are mainly localized on the central part of core-shell tabular grain. The linear dimensions of sulfur sensitization centers are distributed between 6 nm to 250 nm with a peak maximum of 50 nm. The number of silver sulfide molecules contained in the sensitization clusters are evaluated and discussed.
